Dimitris Emmanouloudis is a Forester – Hydrologist. He holds a Phd from
Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He did his Post-doctoral research in
mountainous watersheds of Central Spain. He is also Doctor Honoris Causa
“Ingeniero de Montes de Honor”, Escuela Tecnica Superior de Montes,
Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, Espana. From 2008 – 2019 Vice President
and Vice Rector of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Institute of Technology. From
May 2016 – today, Director of Uni – Twin UNESCO Chair, entitled
“Conservation and Management Riparian Ecosystems”, Acronym Con-E-ECT.
Director of MSc Programme, “Man and Water”, Director of MSc Programme
“Analysis and Management of Natural and Manmade Disasters”. Director of
Laboratory ASSIST. Coordinator in 26 competitive International, European and
National Projects. More than 200 publications (Books, Journals, Conferences,
Symposia etc.).
